Rebranded/Refurbed/Relocated
Lane Cove Country Club – now Lane Cove Golf Club
Bakers Delight
Bakers Delight closed for a couple of weeks during July for a complete refurbishment. The main change, from a customers point of view, is that they have removed the window pane from the front of the shop, which opens up an additional serving window, right on the plaza.
Pablo & Rusty’s is now The Junction
Towards the end of June, Pablo & Rusty’s became The Junction. A while back, the cafe was sold, but the new owners are reportedly still going to use P&R coffee going forward, with a similar menu.
Beauty in the Cove is now Flair for Beauty
Effective 1 August 2016, Beauty in the Cove (located upstairs in Central Arcade) has become Flair for Beauty. Same owners, staff and great service, new look and some new treatments coming soon.
Closing or Closed
Hayworth Restaurant, at the Lane Cove Golf Club, has ceased trading from there, with proprietor Bern the Chef, wanting to focus on her other catering ventures.
Rumours
A Proposal for the St Michael’s Parish to build an Early Learning Centre and a New Parish Centre
The Catholic school system, both systemic and private, has educated our children from kindergarten to HSC, but Archbishop Fisher is keen to expand that further by encouraging parishes to provide early learning centres. Our parish has the capacity to build such a centre, along the lines of Mirrabrook Early Learning Centre run by St Ignatius College, Riverview.
For further information, come to a meeting in the parish hall on Friday, August 19, commencing at 7pm.
For Sale/For Lease
