Burns Bay Bookery Book Club

The September Burns Bay Bookery Book Club book is My Brother Jack by George Johnstone. This is one of ITC’s favourite books and is an all-time classic Australian Book. The award-winning novel delves into our national identity, and it’ll be interesting to see how relevant those myths are today.

George Johnston created an enduring exploration of two Australian myths – that of the man who loses his soul as he gains worldly success, and that of the tough, honest, Aussie battler

The Illustrated London News has hailed this book as “one of the greatest books written this century.”

“Enthralling … entertaining … vividly original is the Age’s review of this classic.

Even if you don’t want to attend the Book club, why not read the books they recommend, by the end of the year you might have read 12 books that you would not have normally read.
