I have a huge confession to make!! As much as I like to believe that I visit as much of Lane Cove as possible, I have been neglecting the far end of Longueville Road. But this has now changed. Just before Christmas I was stopped at the new lights and looked across to see a new store. This store is Iris & Lin.
As soon as I could I decided to check this store out. Some of the stock looked familiar. Why? Well Iris & Lin had a pop up store in the mall around Christmas 2013. Owners Raelene and Sheridan loved Lane Cove so much they spent the next year and a bit scouting for suitable premises in Lane Cove. They have now found a permanent home at Shop 1/73 Longueville Road (near the Fight Centre). The store is managed by Mandy and they are thrilled to have found a place to call home.
Raelene And Sheridan wanted to stock the store with affordable but quality products. They stock several brands that you can not find anywhere else in Lane Cove (Holiday, Rare Rabbit and Ebb & Ive).
The Holdiay brand embodies the very essence of a relaxed summer lifestyle. It is an Australian resort wear label which designs beautifully wistful kaftans, summer dresses, skirts, tops, and pants; then there’s the gorgeous jewellery, hats and bags that help you to add the finishing touches to create beautiful holiday looks and feel amazing when you do.
Their best sellers are their necklaces, scarves and candles. They have some beautifully matched scarves and necklaces that will make jazz up any outfit.
Here is a little bit of trivia for you. One of their best sellers is their Magpie (yes Magpie). Apparently they sold out of this little fellow on Valentine’s Day. Who knew that the Magpie is as symbol of love and true commitment (ITC will have to check if Magpies mate for life as this could be the reason why they are so popular).
In addition to a lovely range of scarves and jewellery, they also have some quirky homewares pieces like these cute dogs!!! They would look great in a little one’s bedroom (and you don’t have to worry about toilet training them).
