There has not been much activity In July, but September is set to be a big month with some new cafes and shops to open.
Lane Cove Nutrition
Lane Cove Nutrition has opened in the arcade opposite Coles. Wendy Jeffrey is the owner of Lane Cove Nutrition and brings over 20 years experience having worked as an accredited practising Dietitian (APD) in clinical settings, in the food industry and was trained in the UK and Canberra in diverse fields from food allergies through to Sports Nutrition. Wendy is a Lane Cove local and a mother of three, and knows that telling someone what to eat is a small part of effective dietary advice.
Wendy says “I am passionate about helping people discover the right dietary solutions that meet their own personal needs. Whether it be specialist advice for people with diabetes, dealing with fussy eaters, nutrition regimen for athletes or just practical advice on cooking and shopping better; everyone needs a tailored approach and that’s what I will be offering to Lane Cove residents”

Heeleys Hounds
A new dog walking service in and around Lane Cove. They also sell hand made dog collars, bandanas and bow ties and home made dog treats and dog portraits.

Geo Cafe and Geo Pizza
The old Alert Locksmith and Security premises off Mowbray Road are currently being converted into a coffee shop and pizza bar. Geo Cafe and Geo Pizza will open in Mid September. The fit out is going to be rustic.
Oliver Brown Chocolate Cafe has taken over two shops in the Lane Cove Market Square (the telephone repair shop and the dress shop). Oliver Brown told In the Cove that they would be opening in mid September. The hoardings are up and the workers are in there.
The Hunted – Homewares
The Hunted has a store in Cammeray and now they are set to open in Lane Cove (in the new building under construction in the plaza).
The Hunted has a strong focus on Australian designers and businesses, which is something they are extremely passionate about. The Hunted is all about offering exciting and unique products for those who will appreciate them.

A new fish and chips restaurant will also open in this development.
Baku Swimwear
Last year Baku Swimwear had a temporary store in Lane Cove and they will be back in the same development. An Australian owned business established in 1969, Baku are dedicated to Australian design, producing quality swimwear that has seen Baku Swimwear (formerly Bubbles Beach Co Pty Ltd) manufacturing swimwear for over 40 years. Baku is all about sophistication and the perfect fit for every woman. The brand is sold through Australia at Bikini Island locations, specialty swim and surf wear stores as well as globally in regions such as Canada, Netherlands, Belgium, US, UK & Hong Kong and soon Lane Cove.
Closing
Lavand Accessories is closing down and they currently have a closing down sale. There are some real bargains to be had in the sale. Up to 50% OFF all jewellery, shoes, scarves and handbags!
