This week is annual ‘National Op Shop Week‘, celebrating “all things affordable and pre-loved”. So ITC went in search of treasure at Lane Cove’s two Op Shops, and here is some of what we found.
First stop was Vinnies, which is located at 89 Longueville Road. It is open from 9am-5pm Mon-Sat, and 10am-4pm on Sun. The first fab find, temptingly positioned by the entrance, was a childrens guitar, and then continuing the music theme, we spotted Beethoven himself!
We also spied an ornate umbrella (not sure this one was waterproof), and the, every home should have one, ‘Death by Diet’ – a Jigsaw Puzzle Murder Mystery!
But our favourite Fab Find in Vinnies this week was these hi-top sneakers, with their Bird of Paradise design – a must for the well shod bloke ITC!
Crossing the road, and heading down to 150 Longueville Road, we checked out the Goodwill Op Shop, in search of further fab finds. Goodwill is open Mon/Tue/Wed/Fri 9.30am-5pm, Thu 9.30am-7pm & Sat 9.30am-3pm – look for its fabulous pink facade!
Take a look at all of the fab finds we spotted in Goodwill, like the huge Lava Lamp, which was sitting on the front counter (apparently it takes around 5 hours to warm up!); the retro flip clock (flashbacks to our childhood); and lots of clothes, books and homewares.
We couldn’t resist a flick through the two crates of vinyl records – unearthing a fab find indeed – sold!
