Tambourine Bay Sea Scouts

Every year Mr ITC is the first in line for a fabulous Scouts Christmas Tree. For 27 years the trees were sold in the car park next to The Lane Cove Club. Now this site is no longer available, and just like in a Christmas movie, the Scouts overcame adversity and found a new site to sell their trees.

For the next two Saturdays (3rd and 10th December 2016 from 7 am), head on up to St Michaels School Longueville Road and buy a beautiful fresh Christmas Tree.

Be early to get a great tree. You get to choose the tree you want. It’s fun fighting with your family over the best-shaped tree (are you reading this Mr ITC??).

Also if you’re one of the first 25 people to arrive you will receive a free coffee voucher from Jack & Co. So you can buy your tree and grab a coffee on the way home #winwin

Tambourine Bay Santa Claus

ITC followers all have their favourite place to buy a Christmas Tree in Lane Cove. A long standing tradition is buying one from 6 Tambourine Bay Road, Lane Cove.

How did this tradition start? Years ago they were sold in the fruit and veggie shop on Longueville Road. When the business owner retired, the people who wholesale the trees kept delivering them to the store forgetting that the store was now closed. The trees were so popular it was decided to keep the tradition going from Tambourine Bay Road. He is now known as the Tambourine Bay Santa Claus.
