Welcome to our Lane Cove Weekly Review for 5 to 11 December 2016.

The festive season really kicked into gear this week in Lane Cove.  So here is our round up.

Lighting of the Lane Cove Christmas Tree

The Lane Cove Plaza was packed on Friday night!! The Lane Cove Council put on a fun filled evening. It even included a visit from PAW Patrol.

Lane Cove Christmas Lights

The annual Light Up Lane Cove Competition has started, and homes across Lane Cove are lighting up so brightly, you might need your sunnies when you go and have a squiz. More details, and map, and photos of most of the entries are HERE.

Lane Cove In the News

The Lane Cove Junior Rugby Union Club was in the news this week. An article in the Sydney Morning Herald gave a big thumbs up to the Viva 7’s competition currently held every Friday night at Blackman Park. You can read the article HERE.

Delvena Women’s Refuge – Call Out for Supermarket Vouchers

This week there was a thought provoking article in the North Shore Times about poverty, homelessness and domestic violence on the North shore. The article’s publication coincided with a call out from Delvena Women’s Refuge for supermarket vouchers. You can leave the vouchers at Lane Cove & North Side Community Services offices (across from the Library). If you would like to know more about the Delvena please read this article.

Crime and Incident Report

On Friday night,  the residents of Greenwich and Northwood were put under the spotlight (literally) as PolAir searched for a missing man from an aged care facility in Greenwich. Luckily he was found. You can read more about it HERE
