New Businesses/Now Open
Batch by Batch
Now open at Northwood Shops is Batch by Batch. Their business has responded to a discerning market demanding that the quality of food items given as gifts to celebrate festive seasons and other occasions, should be bespoke, preferably handmade, grown and made in Australia.
The Code
There is a new Personal Trainer in town – The Code. They are located in the Lane Cove Village Shopping Centre, next to Furever Pets
Collected Companies
New local business Collected Companies makes custom “playmats”
Collected Companies goal is to bring affordable custom playmats, playmats featuring art from amazing artists and illustrators, and other Magic: The Gathering and gaming accessories to the Australian and New Zealand market.
They even made one for ITC!
Century 21 Masterpiece
Another month, another new Real Estate Agency has appeared in Lane Cove. Century 21 Masterpiece has opened on the Lower Ground Floor, below Suzie’s Restaurant, on Longueville Road.
School can be stressful, arm your child with some strategies to help them tackle everyday life. Blissfulness.com.au is a new programme developed by a Lane Cove resident to help kids incease their confidence and self esteem.
New Hours
Nibu is now open three nights a week. Nibu is located at the Village Shopping Centre.

Drama Spot
Drama Spot holds after school classes in Lane Cove for primary age children. Their main focus is on engaging children by exploring their word through dramatic play.
Enrolments are now open for Term 1, 2017 – Classes on Monday, Wednesday & Friday, at Currambena & Lane Cove Public School. Contact Drama Spot to take advantage of our early bird prices!

Rebranded/Refurbed/Relocated
Lane Cove Family Medical Centre
Lane Cove Family Medical Centre have now moved from their old premises (soon to be redeveloped) to this new location at 100 Longueville Road.
This makes four medical centres along this section of Longueville Road!
Apple Dental is in the process of refurbishing and upgrading their premises. They have state of the art dentistry equipment – so they want to upgrade their premises to match the equipment (personally we thought their premises were swish before the upgrade).
There has also been quite a bit of building action in the premises near the BUPA dentist and Burns Bay Cottage.
Closing or Closed
Buby Bling
The kids clothing, accessories, and homewares shop, Buby Bling is continuing its closing down sale. It is located in the Lane Cove Arcade.
We did hear a rumour that it was going to be a formal hire business but have yet to have that confirmed.
Rumours
New Cafe on Birdwood Lane
Work continues on the small vacant shop on Birdwood Lane, located near Story. Rumour has it that another cafe is coming soonish.

Carlos Costes has danced Argentine Tango since he was a child. He was born in Buenos Aires, and has taught and danced professionally in Buenos Aires for 25 years.
Carlos has performed and taught throughout Europe, the US and Latin America. He believes anyone can learn Tango. It’s fun and can be enjoyed by people of all ages, all fitness levels, and even for those with no dance experience. He infuses his classes with information about the music, culture and history of the dance.
Carlos is now teaching classes in Lane Cove!
