More Public Transport Woes
Frustration again from Lane Cove commuters at the Lane Cove Bus Interchange. Here is what some commuters told us:
“Been waiting half an hour for a city bus at the interchange this morning. People are queued half way up Parklands. Every bus that comes by is full. We need buses that originate at the interchange in peak hour!”
“Seems like there are less buses. Spent 1.5 hours getting to work yesterday and another hour today. More buses needed especially considering all the new housing developments happening bringing in more people. Hopefully something is sorted out soon!”

Construction Site Accident
Our thoughts are with a young construction worker who slipped and fell at a site in Lane Cove North on Friday, and was impaled by a support bar. We had several people asking about a low flying helicopter in the area, and it turns out the Care Flight Helicopter had to land in the grounds of Mowbray Public School. More details HERE.

More Changes at The Diddy
Launched on Australia Day, the Diddy’s new bistro operator ‘The Lawns’ has ceased operating after only three weeks.
Longueville Sporting Club is focused on delivering the best service to its members. We have recently had a change in our kitchen with Charles Bistro moving on after a successful 18 months. Unfortunately the new operator, The Lawns, who have been operating the Bistro at the club for the past few weeks have not been able to deliver on the full range of services that were originally proposed and as a consequence have decided to cease the operation of the kitchen. Please accept our apology for any inconvenience that may result in us not having our usual food service. The club will be taking over the bistro starting next Wednesday.
Screen on the Green Cancelled
The Sydney Weather is not playing fair, the last three screens on the green have been cancelled due to heavy storms. Finding Dory was cancelled this week, we will let you know the rescheduled date.
Success for Lane Cove Author
Local Author Aura Parker goes from strength to strength. Scholastic Canada are publishing TWIG in French and English, in July, and Scholastic Asia are publishing it in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Japan and South Korea, in English Scholastic Australia. Crime and Incident Report
Residents of a Kingslangley Rd Greenwich home were asleep on Sunday, when they were woken by noise about 1.30am. The residents made their way to the kitchen and saw numerous items were missing, before noticing a man coming out of their laundry. The residents challenged the man, who fled the property over the back fence. Police were called and started patrolling the area, before finding a youth hiding in the front yard of a home. Police chased and arrested the Hornsby Heights 17-yearold and found a number of items taken from the home. He was charged with aggravated break and enter and committing a serious indictable offence. He was given strict bail conditions and is due to appear in court later this month.
There was also further action on Kingslangley Road Greenwich when a party got out of control. Several police cars were in attendance.
A boy, 16, was punched, kicked and suffered a concussion, after an unknown man allegedly assaulted him at the birthday party at about 9pm on Saturday. The alleged offender was described as Islander or Aboriginal in appearance, aged 16-17, 180cm tall, with a solid build, and was wearing a red T-shirt and white hat. Police urge witnesses to phone Chatswood police.
