Want to know what is happening in Lane Cove on ANZAC Day? We have put together a guide for you.
Lane Cove ANZAC Day Service
The Lane Cove ANZAC Day Service commences promptly at 7.30am. It’s a good idea to be there by 7.20am. The service runs for an hour or so, finishing around 8.30am. This allows Veterans to go to the city to march in the parade.
The weather on Tuesday is forecast to be partly cloudy with only a slight (30%) chance of a shower. There will be light winds becoming west to north-westerly 15 to 20 km/h during the day. If it’s raining the service will be held in the Library. It can be nippy in the morning at the Plaza so rug up in layers.
The Lane Cove RSL Sub-Branch and the Lane Cove Council put a great deal of effort into the ceremony so please come along and remember Lane Cove locals who served to protect our country. If you would like to know more about the planning of the service and the man behind it read our blog here.
Events After the Ceremony
There will be Two Up from 12pm and free lawn bowls and an Aussie BBQ.
The club will be open from 6am for pre-march drinks. Hot breakfast will be served from 8am and it is only $15. Tickets available from reception or at the door. Two Up will commence from 2:30pm.
You can buy $4.00 schooners of Tooheys New all day.
The Longy will be open 12pm till 11pm on ANZAC Day.
