Lane Cove Food and Wine by the River 5th November

The Lane Cove Food and Wine Festival by the River is now in its 3rd Year and it is a “Must Do” local event. This year the line us includes 14 popular regional wine and food stallholders.

Combining the best of Lane Cove with the best of the country, this popular  Lane Cove Council-run event last year attracted over 3,400 Sydneysiders who enjoyed soaking up the water views while sampling the finest produce from the Orange region.

Mayor of Lane Cove, Clr Pam Palmer is inviting the community to enjoy all that the event has to offer saying, “Lane Cove features many beautiful waterside parks and Tambourine Bay Reserve has proven to be the perfect location for the popular Food and Wine by the River event,” Clr Palmer said. “This November enjoy the sunshine with friends and family while savouring some of NSW’s finest produce, right on our own doorstep here in Lane Cove”.

The event will again showcase the cool climate wine growing region of Orange which is set to create an immersive regional New South Wales gourmet experience thanks to the following stallholders:

Live entertainment will once again be provided by unplugged musician Josh Maynard from Orange, who was a huge hit with appreciative crowds last year. Lane Cove Public School bands will open the day from 11am which is sure to strike a chord with locals.

Visitors will have an opportunity to win a case of extraordinary Orange, NSW cool-climate wines on the day, with entries accepted in person at the Orange Region Tourism stall at the event.

Food and Wine by the River is a licensed event with no BYO or glass permitted.

Family Friendly Event

This family-friendly event includes free face painting and an animal petting farm for the kids and as long as dogs are on a leash, they can come too! There will be a free shuttle bus running from the Lane Cove Library down to the event so you can leave the car at home.

Held in partnership with Lane Cove Council, Food and Wine by the River is proudly sponsored by Orange City Council as part of its ‘Visit Orange’ campaign which is aimed at inspiring visitors to explore the Orange (just a scenic 3.5 hour drive from Sydney) and the region’s many vineyards, cellar doors, cafés, restaurants, farm gates and wine bars.
