Your Local Guide to Summer in Lane Cove…

Get ready for a big summer in Lane Cove.  The Lane Cove Council Sunset in the Village programme is all about enjoying Lane Cove in Summer.  Check out your favourite event and lock it in your diary now!!

So if you staying local to Lane Cove this Summer or looking to keep your New Year’s Resolution to explore new things on offer this February – Sunset in the Village is your handpicked guide to Summer in Lane Cove…

This light and bright programme shows just how much there is in offer in Lane Cove – from wondering the bushland to getting together with others and exploring your creative talents, this is a great way to kick-off an exciting year in Lane Cove!

The popular Screen on the Green event is back with a special January screening of Ballerina (G) in Hughes Park where the playground and BBQs provide the perfect excuse to get everyone out of the same four walls and enjoy the fresh air!

If your kids are a bit older and don’t care for the G-rated films these days then why not get them out of the house and into Kites and Bites or a Skate Ramp building workshop at Synergy Youth Centre this January?

You can also take advantage of the final days of school holidays with a special Aussie Animals bushwalk at Batten Reserve in Lane Cove North or swing by the Plaza for a BBQ after the Australian Day Citizenship Ceremony.

Of course naturally the programme is geared towards everyone being back into full swing come February so maybe use those quiet days in January to plan ahead for your busy month of activities including a Sunset Artists’ Market in the Plaza, Gallery Exhibitions and Workshops, Saturday Sounds, Bushcare activities and the Lane Cove Plaza favourite, Lunar New Year.
