Indian Bazaar – 15th September 2018

A highlight on the Lane Cove calendar is the Jesuit Mission’s Indian Bazaar held every year in September at St Ignatius College Riverview.

More than 5,000 people of all ages will flock to the event for a day of activities, bargains, rides, music, shows, raffles, prizes, food, spruiking and all out fun.

It’s a must do event if you love rides, hamburgers, scones, champers and oysters and hams.  The ham wheel is a highlight.

The Propagating Gardeners Huge Plant Sale – 7th October 2018

Needs some new plants?  Don’t want to break the budget buying them?  We have the solution!! The Huge Plant Sale is back on again on 7th October 2018.

Keith and Maureene, a retired couple, are avid gardeners and propagators. In April and October each year Keith and Maureene open their house and hold a huge plant sale. The sale is aptly called the Huge Plant Sale.

All proceeds from the Huge Plant Sale are donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). Last year Keith and Maureen raised just over $15 000.00

The Spring sale is on 7th October 2018 – put that in your diary now.  If you love plants you will love this sale.

Lane Cove Rotary Fair and Sustainability Lane –  14th October 2018

The Lane Cove Rotary Fair and Sustainability Lane is a much-loved event.   Everybody loves a fair and Lane Cove residents love the Lane Cove Village Fair. There is entertainment, rides, live music, food, market stalls and displays by community organisations.

Thousands of people attend the event and you’re sure to bump into many people you know.    The Fair takes place in the heart of the village with Longueville Road and Burns Bay Road closed to cars.  If you would like to have a stall (community group  or selling some goods or services) click here.  There is also a busk off – if you or your child has talent then apply now.

Sustainability Lane is  organised by Lane Cove Council. The event showcases sustainable living through a variety of stalls, demonstrations and live entertainment. It forms part of the wider Lane Cove Rotary Fair, Sustainability Lane incorporates local community groups that are assisting Lane Cove to become a sustainable community and allows businesses to showcase sustainable products and services which contribute to a more sustainable Lane Cove.

Lane Cove River Festival

This Festival is the new kid on the block, however it is gaining momentum every year.  One of the highlights is the Food and Wine Festival By the River.

This Festival celebrates life on the river with two weeks of activities along foreshores, in parks and on the doorsteps of community groups that call the river home. Be it a glance, a swim or a paddle the Lane Cove community is connected to life on the river.  The Festival usually runs in the first 2 weeks of November.  Have a look at the events held last year during the festival here.
