Fresh Christmas Trees for Sale in Lane Cove 2022

There is something nice about a fresh Christmas Tree.  The smell of pine wafting through your house.  Here is where you can buy your fresh Christmas Trees in Lane Cove and help out local community groups.  We also have some tips for those who don’t manage to snap up a Christmas Tree from a community group – as they go very fast.

The good news is that you can preorder trees from both the 1st Tambo Scouts and the 1st Lane Cove Scouts, and they have delivery options!!!

1st Tambo Scouts – Order Online or Buy Direct

The 1st Tambo Scouts directly source their fresh Christmas trees from the Southern Highlands.

This year you can pre-order your tree online or buy direct from 1st Tambo Scouts at St Michael’s School.  Order yours now, as numbers are limited.

With over 100 kids at 1st Tambo Scouts, it takes a lot of money to buy equipment, participate in activities and maintain boats, equipment and halls!

Every year 1st Tambo Scouts pride themselves on getting the best trees available, from The Christmas Tree Man, established in 1980 by Robert and Barbara Boag, at “Paddy’s River”, Wingello, in the NSW Southern Highlands. Their trees are called Pinus Radiata, a Christmas Tree variety.

You can also buy a Christmas Tree Stand, and they accept credit cards.  The Trees will last until Christmas Day if you keep plenty of water in the Christmas Tree Stand.  Check the water regularly, as the trees tend to be thirsty when you first get them home.

Hunters Hill Scouts

Hunters Hill Scouts have trees 6ft, 7ft & 8ft from $70.00.   They will be selling their trees on 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th of December 2022 from 8 am.    The trees will be available at 1 Durham Street, Hunters Hill.

 

 

 

Tambourine Bay Santa Claus

ITC followers all have their favourite place to buy a Christmas Tree in Lane Cove. A long-standing tradition is buying one from 6 Tambourine Bay Road, Lane Cove.  Each year we receive numerous enquiries about the Tambourine Bay Santa Claus.  We have been told that he is NOT selling trees this year – but sometimes, at the last moment, he changes his mind as he loves meeting people. We will let you know if there is an update.

How did this tradition start? Years ago, Christmas Trees were sold in a Longueville Road fruit and veggie shop. When the business owner retired, the business that supplied the trees kept delivering them to the store, forgetting that the store was now closed. The trees were so popular it was decided to keep the tradition going from Tambourine Bay Road. He is now known as the Tambourine Bay Santa Claus.
