DESCRIPTION:Carisbrook Historic House will be open and self-guided tours are available (headphones provided). \nTraditional Devonshire Teas are served in the garden courtyard\, with home-baked scones\, jam and cream. Coffee and cakes are also available. \nThe gardens themselves are well worth a visit. There is a walled back court yard and a front garden with lawn. On the eastern side\, ancient sandstone pathways and steps lead you down to the water’s edge of Burns Bay and into Linley Park (originally part of Carisbrook Estate). This area has a mysterious past and was once called Murdering Bay. \nThe gardens have evolved into a lush and tranquil space that reflects the taste of the many owners of Carisbrook over generations. Today\, it is beautifully maintained by the local Council.

DESCRIPTION:A group of dedicated local residents are behind Repair Cafe Sydney North.  A repair cafe is a group of skilled local residents who want to fix things instead of throwing them away. Lane Cove residents are invited to bring broken items from home and watch them being repaired.  You may even be inspired to learn how the repairs are made. \nWhen is the Repair Cafe Open?\n1st and 2nd Sundays of the month 2-4 pm. \nWhere is the Repair Cafe Located in Lane Cove?\nThe Living and Learning Centre\, 164-180 Longueville Road\, Lane Cove. \nWhat is the Procedure?\nPlease queue up for a time slot\, and the Repair Cafe Sydney North volunteers will try to fix your item on the same day whenever possible. \nYou will be allocated a time slot between 2-4 pm. \nThe last time slot for gadget/electrical repairs is 3.30 pm. \nThe last time slot for other items is 3.45 pm. \nIndicative timetable \nFirst.
