Dream of Margaret River
Penny Ransby Smith
Please join the Lane Cove Historical Society for the April ‘At the Podium’. Our guest speaker this month is Penny Ransby-Smith a local historian who won the Lane Cove History Prize in 2018. After a professional career as an accountant, she turned to researching family history. She is the author of Dream of Margaret River, about the lives of her grandfather and his two partners as pioneer farmers in Margaret River, W.A., before the First World War, and their wartime service, which included Gallipoli, the Atlantic convoys and the Somme. Her talk will draw on this book.
We will meet Lane Cove Library at 7pm with all the cove safety precautions in place.
