SUMMARY:An Augmentation of Sitar by Ravi (Best of Fringe)
DESCRIPTION:Hear the sitar like you have never heard it before. \nRavi Ramjas takes an instrument most of us associate with classical Indian music and points it at Taylor Swift\, Coldplay\, John Mayer\, One Direction and Alicia Keys. Every night is different\, with live collaborations and a genre defying set that breaks most of the rules. \nThis is a world premiere\, it is interactive\, and it is the most family friendly show in the Best of Fringe line-up. If you want to hear local talent and find a few new artists to follow\, start here. \nRuns 55 minutes. Rated PG. Contains audience interaction. \nAllow extra time for parking. The show starts strictly on schedule. \nTickets $40. \nPart of Lane Cove Festival in partnership with Sydney Fringe

SUMMARY:Gia Ophelia (Best of Fringe) — JB Theatre Co
DESCRIPTION:Struggling with infertility and a stalled acting career\, Gia wants to play Ophelia one last time. \nWritten by Grace Wilson (NYC New Play Award Runner-up)\, Directed by Jo Bradley (Snowflake)\, and starring Annie Stafford (Stupid Fucking Bird)\, Gia Ophelia is a darkly comic one-woman satire\, skewering sexism and ageism in the arts. \nGia played Ophelia once when she was younger and fresh on the scene. And now she’s older\, and wiser\, and ready to give Ophelia one last crack. But she’s not the same youthful Gia she once was. Conflicted by the trials of motherhood\, infertility and her youth passing her by\, Gia must ask herself where her priorities lie and what it truly means to be a mother and an artist. \nWinner of the Emerging Artist Award and a finalist for Best in Theatre at Sydney Fringe 2025\, GIA OPHELIA returns for a limited season in 2026. A resounding\, rebounding palpable hit (Australian Stage)\, GIA OPHELIA is not to be missed. \n\n★★★★½ – What’s On Sydney \n★★★★½ – Stage Door Podcast \n★★★★ – Cultural Binge \n★★★★ – Spot on Sydney \n★★★★ – State of the Arts \nThis event is part of Lane Cove Festival in partnership with Sydney Fringe Festival.
