Two fun filled days of craft, games and small group work to learn essential skills for Kindy – Yr 2 students.
Addressing 2 key areas:
- Early literacy sound and strategy skills for reading
- Handwriting skills for letter & number formation and writing
Early Literacy Lift-Off! has been designed by Sydney Therapy & Co.’s experienced team of speech pathologists and occupational therapists so your child can develop skills for success during the early years at school and includes practical ideas to reinforce at home. We provide the scaffold to support your child as they Lift-Off! into their early school years with confidence.
Your child will take away:
- improved skills for reading & spelling patterns
- greater knowledge of using letter-sound relationships (phonics)
- appropriate pencil grasp and fine motor skills for handwriting
It is an intensive programme of literacy and handwriting held over 2 days so numbers will be limited to accommodate a small group.The aim of Early Literacy Lift-Off! is to encourage students to become constructive learners. It teaches them ‘how’ to problem-solve independently with strategies to apply when encountering spelling and reading patterns unfamiliar to them, plus developing age appropriate pencil grasp and fine motor control.
