SUMMARY:All Things Must Pass: A Play About The Beatles
DESCRIPTION:All Things Must Pass is an intimate\, time-bending exploration of friendship\, fame\, grief\, and the legacy of music. In the wake of John Lennon’s death\, Ringo\, George\, and Paul each grapple with the loss of their brother-in-arms — the man who changed their lives and the world. \nAs memories blur with reality\, John drifts in and out of their minds\, appearing in fragments of laughter\, arguments\, and songs long finished. Paul\, ever the perfectionist\, wrestles with how to move forward — both as an artist and as a man. \nThrough a series of heartfelt\, surreal\, and often darkly funny scenes\, the four Beatles — one living on in spirit — navigate the long and winding road of grief\, learning that even legends must face the truth that all things must pass. \nThis event is part of Lane Cove Festival in partnership with Sydney Fringe Festival.

Ringo feels John’s presence most vividly\, haunted and comforted by the ghost of their bond. George retreats into his faith\, searching for peace through spirituality.

SUMMARY:BEYOND THE STRETCH : GENTLE HATHA YOGA
DESCRIPTION:Located at the brand new Galuwa recreational centre in Lane Cove\, 180 River Road\, Lane Cove \nThis inclusive yoga class holds a safe\, welcoming space for EVERY BODY – regardless of prior yoga experience\, how you look or how you feel. Permission-based and kind\, this gentle Hatha Yoga class offers a chance to slow down\, reconnect with yourself and experience yoga as a practice for the mind and heart as much as the body. \nWith breath\, movement and mindfulness you can look forward to prioritizing calm awareness. Physical postures support the body\, but they are not the end goal. Instead\, the practice gently settles the mind and nervous system\, offering benefits that extend well beyond the mat and into daily life. \nLed with creativity\, curiosity and intrinsic joy\, this class invites mindful connection – helping students feel grounded with a sense of ease\, both on and off the mat. \nWhat you may notice most is not how far you can stretch … but how you feel after the class. \nWe look forward to welcoming you. \nWHAT TO BRING \nPLEASE NOTE: Yoga props help support the body and make the practice feel so much more nourishing. \nWe do not currently have props in the Yoga space so please bring a yoga mat and a large blanket or towel for the class. \nAny extra props you’d like to bring along (like blocks and a bolster or pillow) will go a long way in enhancing your practice. \nDee Reddy grew up in India and now calls Sydney home. Her classes offer a warm\, gentle and nurturing space to slow down and reconnect — a practice for the mind and heart as much as the body. \nTrained in Restorative\, Hatha\, Yin\, Tantra Hatha\, Somatic\, and Trauma-Aware Yoga\, Dee blends mindfulness\, compassion\, and gentle curiosity into every session. She hopes each student leaves her classes feeling calmer\, softer\, and more at home in themselves. Her biggest joy is working with and for her local community. \nWhen she’s not teaching\, Dee can be found knitting\, reading\, drinking chai\, or doting on her rescue pussycat\, Tinsel.

DESCRIPTION:Tax makes Ben anxious. As a sole trader\, he has hoarded every receipt from the year and now has to go through them all\, with the audience’s help. In this darkly funny one-man show\, every receipt tells a story\, and every audience member gets one too. People are called on at random to hand over their receipt\, and the performer delivers the matching monologue\, so no two nights unfold the same way. \nJo Bradley (SNOWFLAKE\, GIA OPHELIA) directs the Australian premiere\, by Olivier-Award winning playwright James Graham (DEAR ENGLAND\, INK\, QUIZ)\, produced by JB Theatre Co\, for a limited Australian premiere season in Lane Cove’s Pottery Lane Performance Space. \nThe show is part of Lane Cove Festival in partnership with Sydney Fringe\, and runs for four nights only. Rated M15+\, with coarse language and audience interaction\, including some physical contact.
