Seniors Reconnect: Stay Safe from Scams + Enjoy Scottish Dancing

Lane Cove Council is delighted to announce the return of the Reconnect Program this October, in support of Mental Health Month. This 5-week initiative will focus on supporting the health, wellbeing, and connection of seniors in our community.
Week 5 – Session 1 (9:30am – 10:30am) : Stay Safe: Frauds, Scams, Cybercrime, and Home Safety
Join the NSW Police Force to gain valuable insights on how to stay safe and protect yourself from scams, fraud, and cybercrime. Learn practical tips for avoiding different types of scams and how to spot and prevent them. Additionally, discover important home safety measures to help keep you, your family, and your property secure.
This initiative aims to empower you with the knowledge and tools to enhance your everyday safety and well-being.

Week 5 – Session 2 (10:45am – 11:45am) : Dance Scottish Lane Cove: Fun & Interactive Session
Celebrate the conclusion of our Seniors Reconnect Program with the joy of Scottish social dancing. No partner or experience needed!
With help from the Dance Scottish Lane Cove dancers, you’ll learn simple, lively dances set to toe-tapping music—while enjoying the physical, mental, and social benefits that dancing brings.
It’s a joyful way to stay active, connected, and uplifted. Come and join the fun!
