DESCRIPTION:Gardeners who want more bees and butterflies in the backyard can learn how at a free Lane Cove Council workshop at the Lane Cove Community Nursery on Saturday 7 November from 9:00am to 11:30am. \nThe session covers which local native shrubs and wildflowers attract pollinators such as native bees\, butterflies and beetles\, and how to grow them well. Everyone heads home with seedlings to plant. \nThe workshop is for ages 16 and over and places are limited\, so bookings are essential. The nursery is at 4 Lloyd Rees Drive in Lane Cove West. Walk-in access is via the short bush track beside the Council Depot gate.

DESCRIPTION:Residents of Cammeray and surrounds can lend a hand at the Little Young Street Community Garden every Saturday from 9:00am to 12:00pm\, starting with Saturday 7 November\, National Community Gardens Day. \nThe resident-run garden has raised beds plus composting and propagation areas\, and sits above Brightmore Reserve. Volunteers pick up skills in composting\, propagation and pruning\, and the harvest is shared after each working bee. \nNo booking is needed. SUMMARY:LCPS P&C Masquerade Gala 2026
DESCRIPTION:Lane Cove Public School is turning 150 and the school P&C is marking the milestone with a Masquerade Gala at Galuwa Recreation Centre on Saturday 7 November from 7:00pm. \nThe cocktail-style evening brings canapés\, a welcome drink on arrival\, music and plenty of mingling. Dress is cocktail and masquerade masks are encouraged but not essential. Masks can be bought at the door. Extra drinks are available at the bar and there will be fundraising activities throughout the night. \nTickets are $60 per person including fees\, with payment plans available through Humanitix. The night is for adults only and the P&C says friends\, family and the wider Lane Cove community are all welcome. Funds raised support the P&C’s 2026 colour and vibrancy strategy for the school. Galuwa is on River Road with parking on site and is served by the 261 and 254 buses.
