SUMMARY:Remembrance Day Service 2026 in Lane Cove Plaza
DESCRIPTION:Lane Cove will pause to honour those who died in war and on peacekeeping service at the annual Remembrance Day service in the plaza on Wednesday 11 November. \nThe Lane Cove Council service begins at 10:30am and leads into the traditional minute’s silence at 11:00am. Lane Cove Community Bands is scheduled to play from 10:40am. Everyone is welcome to attend and the service is free. \nLane Cove’s World War I dead are also remembered on the Honour Roll kept at the Civic Centre on Longueville Road\, which locals can visit during opening hours.

DESCRIPTION:Young builders can let their imaginations loose at Lego Club at Lane Cove Library\, a free drop-in session on Wednesday 11 November from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. \nChildren aged 4 and over build towers\, vehicles and whatever else comes to mind in a relaxed and inclusive play space. The library supplies the bricks so there is nothing to bring. It is an easy after-school stop for families around the plaza. \nNo booking is needed. A parent or carer must stay and supervise. Lego Club runs on the second Wednesday of the month\, with the next session on Wednesday 9 December.

DESCRIPTION:Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios is celebrating two new exhibitions with an opening night on Wednesday 11 November from 6:00pm to 8:00pm\, with the chance to meet both artists. \nPeter Day’s In Between brings together around ten years of painting and sculpture about inland rural Australia\, with the horizon as a recurring thread. Colin Husband’s Watersheds is a body of paintings about moments of change\, from the quiet to the life-altering. Husband is a former advertising photographer whose work is held by the Art Gallery of NSW and Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery. \nBoth shows run until 28 November. The gallery is open Tuesday to Friday 10:00am to 4:30pm and Saturday 10:00am to 2:30pm. RSVP via the gallery website.
