Women’s Discussion Group

Information obtained from the ABS reveals that Muslim women attend Australian universities in a greater proportion than non-Muslim women.  They are graduating with qualifications that equip them for employment in the professional workforce.  Whilst some choose to work within a Muslim environment, others enter the secular workplace.  In this talk, Dr Gai Scott explores the major issues and concerns for Muslim women employed in that environment as they attempt to maintain a strong Muslim identity.
