Come and celebrate International Women’s Day The Wolves of War – the burden of war and conflict on women and girls: Jan Rayner and Stephanie Molloy. Violence against women and girls during wartime has been one of history’s darkest secrets. Sexual violence as a tactic of war which terrorizes and controls civilian populations, continues. 2019 saw the publication of the UN Secretary General’s report on conflict related sexual violence and the establishment of the UN Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict. Historical and current aspects of this issue will be presented as well as women’s stories.
