EVENT DETAILS \n\nEvent: Australian Thong Championship 2026\nVenue: Depot Brewery\, Artarmon NSW\nDate: Australia Day – 26 January 2026\nEvent Commences: 3:00pm AEDT\nCompetitor Sign-In: From 2:00pm to 3:00pm AEDT\nPromoter: Buckle Depot Pty Ltd (“Depot Brewery”\, “we”\, “us”)\n\n2. ELIGIBILITY \n\nThe Event is open to persons of all ages.\nValid photo ID may be required for entry\, competition participation\, and prize redemption.\n\n3. TICKETS & INCLUSIONS \n\nEach ticket includes:\nEntry into the Australian Thong Championship competition; and\nOne (1) pizza from the Signature Pizza Menu.\nPizza is:\nRedeemable on the event day only;\nNot redeemable for cash or substitutions;\nLimited to one pizza per ticket.\nTickets are non-refundable except as required by law.\n\n4. SPECTATORS & ATTENDEES \n\nSpectators are welcome to attend the Event without competing.\nAll spectators must:\nRemain within designated viewing areas;\nFollow staff instructions at all times;\nNot interfere with competitors\, officials\, equipment\, or the competition area.\nAny spectator behaviour deemed unsafe\, disruptive\, intoxicated\, or interfering may result in removal from the venue without refund.\nSpectators enter and attend the Event at their own risk\, subject to applicable law.\n\n5. COMPETITION FORMAT & RULES \n\nCompetitors take turns throwing venue-issued competition thongs only.\nThe player chosen to throw first will be decided by Management using a Tasting Paddle Flip process.\nA selection of thongs will be provided. Personal footwear may not be used.\nThe target is an open wheelie bin.\nTo score\, the thong must come to rest in the bottom of the bin without assistance.\nAll throws must be taken from behind the designated throw line.\nNo part of the foot may cross or touch the line during a throw.\nEach competitor is guaranteed five (5) throws per match.\nMatches are decided on a best-of-five basis.\nIf scores are tied after five throws each\, the match proceeds to sudden death\, with competitors alternating throws (throws 6\, 7\, 8\, etc.) until one competitor scores and the other does not.\nEach competitor has a maximum of 30 seconds per throw.\nUnsafe behaviour\, interference\, or failure to follow instructions may result in immediate disqualification.\n\n6. MANAGEMENT DISCRETION & FINAL DECISIONS \n\nDepot Brewery management and appointed hosts reserve the full right to make alternate decisions regarding:\ncompetition rules or format\,\njudging or scoring\,\ncompetitor eligibility\,\nsafety and operational matters\,\nprize allocation or substitution where required.\nAll management and host decisions are final and binding\, and are made at Depot Brewery’s sole discretion.\nThere is no right of appeal in relation to any decision made during or in connection with the Event.\n\n7. WEATHER & EVENT CHANGES \n\nThe Event will proceed rain or shine unless deemed unsafe.\nDepot Brewery may amend\, suspend\, relocate\, or cancel the Event or any component of it due to weather\, safety\, or operational requirements.\n\n12. MEDIA & PROMOTION \n\nBy attending or participating\, all persons consent to being photographed or filmed.\nDepot Brewery may use images or footage for promotional and marketing purposes without compensation.\n\n13.
