SUMMARY:Loch Ness Monster Comes to Lane Cove
DESCRIPTION:You may have seen an article on In the Cove in late June 2025\, where we reported that students at Currambena Primary School & Preschool created an illuminated giant Loch Ness monster and floated it along Tambourine Bay.  This giant Monster is making a comeback for the festival.  If you didn’t see it last time\, make sure you do this time. \nIt took three weeks to create the Monster\, with students designing\, constructing\, painting\, and assembling their lantern sculptures using cane\, paper\, and candlelight. \nOn Friday\, 14 November 2025\, 6 .00 pm to 8.30 pm\, the illuminated Monster will be floated up the River. \nThere will be a viewing area at Greenwich Sailing Club\, and everyone is invited to hang out\, set up a picnic and admire Nessie and the special area in Lane Cove and Greenwich where the River meets the harbour. \nPicnics\, kayaking\, and cycling are encouraged. \nLane Cove Council will provide picnic rugs\, lights\, and music.
