Big Big Big (Bigger than Ben Hur) News for In the Cove – What do you think it is Lane Cove?

lane cove facebook page

In the Cove is ready for the next step!! Thanks to our dedicated roving reporters, we’ve been able to share so much valuable information on the In the Cove Facebook site. However, posts are easy to miss and “older posts” are nearly impossible to find. We know this is frustrating as nearly everyday we receive a request for information on an older post.

So the next step is…..the launch of our website. This website will be the website that Lane Cove built. We have been carefully monitoring our posts to see the information you engage with the most. We have some fabulous features planned. In particular we will have an events calendar, which will allow all community and charity groups to list and promote their events for free. We will also have a lost and found page for pets – that way if you miss a post you can look at the page to see the animals that have been listed as lost or found.

Setting up a web page from scratch (and with customisations for Lane Cove) is not cheap. We have been blown away with the support of the local business community. We have some fabulous foundation sponsors – we will tell you who these businesses are shortly. We would appreciate if you could support those foundation sponsors as they are helping to put in place a great community asset. By the way if you would like to be one of seven foundation sponsors please email us at [email protected].

So the next step is to ask you what you would like in a Lane Cove specific website. We can’t guarantee that we will be able to include all your ideas, but we would love to hear them. We are also looking for people to be our experts in certain areas (health, nutrition, food, shopping, exercise etc). If you would like to be one of our experts please email us at [email protected]

We would like to take this time to thank all of our loyal Facebook Fans, ITC is nearly approaching 6000 Facebook Fans.   Everyday our roving reporters provide us with great information and photos.

ITC could not have grown without our fabulous intern Sue Manning – she has helped so much with content. Sue is also responsible for our instagram page that is also gaining in popularity –

We look forward to hearing your suggestions.
