Businesses We Just Heard About
Located just “over the border” in Hunters Hill is this intriguing small business – Ivy Alley.
Woolworths is doing some refurbs and expanding the length of their aisles. Trying to get your loyalty before Aldi and a spanking new Coles pops up in the redeveloped Rosenthal Avenue Car Park. Woolies take note – your trolleys are being abandoned around Lane Cove. Many of your trolleys will no long accept coins but will accept the plastic tokens. This means there is no incentive to return the trolleys.
We told you last month that La Piazza is being refurbished. ITC thinks this is an understatement. The restaurant has been gutted and it looks like they are starting from scratch.
Big Barra Seafood in Lane Cove Market Square has refurbished their dine in section.
You can now enjoy a drink with your lunch at NiBu Cafe, as their liquor licence has been granted.
Poolwerx had some renovations during September, but are re-opened and ready for their busiest time of year.
We noticed that Wok Passion have some new branding and a possible internal tidyup too.

Staff wanted for a new hairdressers – The Darlene Hair Lounge – due to open at the end of October.
The word on the street indicates that a Wine Bar will eventually be opening in the site that was most recently L’Italiano, on Longueville Road.
Also, a new restaurant called 9 Spices is planned in the site of the old Noodle King. More details when they come to hand.
