Disturbing Attempted Animal Cruelty Incident in Lane Cove North

A Mowbray Road Lane Cove North residents wants to warn locals about an attempted animal cruelty incident.

Stella is a beautiful pure white 2 year old Golden Retriever who is much loved in her neighbourhood.

Last night her owners were horrified to find chocolate wafer biscuits on the top step of their courtyard.   Someone had planted fish hooks and razors blades into the chocolate wafers.  To make matters worse, they put chocolate wafers on the step at 6.00 pm and 9.15pm.  Police were called and have started investigations.   The homeowners have CCTV which is being reviewed.

The chocolate wafers were put on the step with the clear intention of causing serious harm to Stella.  The homeowners also have a two year old who could have easily picked up the chocolate wafers.

The homeowners want others to know about this experience and keep an eye on their dogs.

If you saw anyone suspicious around Mowbray Road Lane Cove North last night or you have experienced a similar incident please contact the Chatswood police.
