COVID19 UPDATE
Lane Cove Council Events taking place up to and including 9 July 2021 will be postponed or cancelled – where events have involved registrations, any affected participants are being contacted.
Some Winter in the Village events have already been rescheduled, and they have paused their plans to release tickets for the highly anticipated ice rink while we observe NSW Health advice. Updates on the Winter in the Village program will be advised when further information is known. We will let you know if they reschedule the ice rink but it is highly unlikely it will go ahead
The Lane Cove Council has announced they will be presenting Winter in the Village. The events will include the Screen on the Green, live music, and a Winter Makers Market with stalls located in The Canopy and the Lane Cove Village.
But wait, there’s more. Have you ever watched a Christmas Movie and seen people skating around Rockefeller Plaza? It looks like so much fun (and a bit romantic). Guess what? Lane Cove residents can have a go at skating with an ice skating rink to be located in The Canopy. Winter Screen on the Green
Wear your warmest clothes, bring your favourite picnic blanket, and join us for a winter-themed movie night at The Canopy. You can bring your own food or support local businesses by grabbing some takeaway as you sit back and enjoy these family favourites. We will let you know closer to the event about winter specials by our local businesses.

Stars on Ice
Saturday 3 July, 5:45 pm and 7:45 pm, The Canopy
Be mesmerised by the magical world of ice dancing with two special 15-minute performances by Stars on Ice at the Winter in the Village Ice Rink. Bookings not required. Numbers are limited.
Animals of the Dreaming: Taronga Zoomobile Visit
Saturday 10 July, 10:00 am – 11:00 am, Lane Cove Plaza
See which creatures will brave the winter weather as Aboriginal Elder Col Hardy and the Taronga Zoomobile help us learn about Mother Nature and her animals through stories and song during NAIDOC Week. Find out more about this event here. Do not miss this one. It is one of the highlights of the year for kids.
Ice Skating in Lane Cove
Sessions start on the hour from 10:00 am – 8:00 pm.
Each session runs for 45 minutes.
Skate into winter this July school holidays at Lane Cove’s first ever ice-skating rink!
Made with SlickIce synthetic ice and designed to feel like real ice-skating, the ice rink is open daily from 3-11 July 2021. Skates are provided.
