Lane Cove Council Elections Hits a New Low

Independents Candidates, standing for election to the Lane Cove Council, claim they are being targeted.

Early this morning their signs were ripped up and banners destroyed.  Not all independents were targeted.

A Labor candidate also told ITC that two cars had blocked the entrance to his driveway earlier this morning, delaying them considerably.

To cap it all off, the occupants of a  White Mitsubishi Triton threw eggs at an Independent candidates car parked outside the Lane Cove Bowling Club.  It was witnessed by numerous people and reported to the polling booth electoral officer.  The egging has also been reported to the Chatswood Police.

This type of behaviour is unacceptable and if you have any information or live near St Michaels Primary School or Greenwich Community Association and have CCTV please send information to the Chatswood Police.

Our Cover Photo is a photo of a candidates car after it was attacked outside the Lane Cove West Bowling Club today.

Police have attended the Bowling Club and are making enquiries

You can vote up to 6 pm tonight.
