Express Yourself 2023 Lane Cove Public School 8 – 12 August 2023
Lane Cove Public School’s annual art exhibition with paintings and sculptures from children in Kindergarten to Year 6.
A brilliant exhibition that allows young artists to display their work in a professional gallery for the school and the public to view. Step into the gallery while Express Yourself is on and be inspired by Lane Cove’s youngest up and coming creatives.

Lane Cove Art Award Exhibition
Lane Cove Art Society with support from Lane Cove Council 22 August – 9 September 2023 presents the Lane Cove Art Awards.
The 2023 Lane Cove Art Awards exhibition promises to be a captivating celebration of artistic talent and creativity. From detailed figurative drawings to vibrant and colourful abstract paintings, the award attracts artists of immense skill and passion from diverse backgrounds.
In its 58th year, the Lane Cove Art Society, with the support of Lane Cove Council, have introduced some significant changes that ensure the award and exhibition continues to be one of Sydney’s most coveted prizes.
“With a first prize of $15,000, a significant increase from previous years, the judges will certainly have a difficult job selecting the winning entry,” explains Miguel Olmo, Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios’ Gallery Manager + Curator.
“Awards are not only a great opportunity for artists in all stages of their career to gain recognition and build their practice, but it is also a great opportunity for audiences and collectors to view and purchase great works of art”, added the Lane Cove Art Society’s President Annie Pavlovic.
The winner of the prize will be announced at the official opening event on Friday, 25 August. Commencing at 6 pm, the event and exhibition entry is free, and everyone is welcome. The exhibition continues until Sunday, 10 September.

Art/Craft/Pottery/Ceramics Workshops and More
Gallery Lane Cove provides the whole community with opportunities to attend art workshops and term classes in printmaking (including screen printing), sewing, jewellery making, knitting, life drawing, painting and pottery. There are classes for children and adults.
