Lane Cove Youth Orchestra
The Lane Cove Youth Orchestra is a community youth group offering quality music and recreational opportunities in a friendly, safe, co-educational environment. LCYO regularly participates in community events, holds a variety of concerts each year, some formal and others more casual, and gives extra performances when requested by sponsors.
LCYO has a professional conducting team headed by chief conductor and artistic director Mark Brown. Colin Piper (OAM) esteemed conductor and percussionist is our Patron and occasional guest conductor. Professional tutors provide extra assistance during rehearsals as needed.
LCYO is always keen to experiment with different performance spaces and styles and regularly invites other music or arts/cultural groups to participate. This provides a diversity of cultural experiences for our players and audiences.

Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings during school terms from 6-8 pm in the Cove Room in the Lane Cove Council building.

Posability Australia is a not for profit organisation and registered charity providing a range of services to assist children and adolescents with learning difficulties and other developmental delays.
PosAbility Educators offer comprehensive assessment and intervention in the areas of reading, writing, spelling, comprehension and mathematics. They are specialists in the field of dyslexia, dysgraphia and dycalculia.
FOUR SERVICES IN TWO LEARNING AREAS
- From Term 3, PosAbility will offer four options for our educational intervention services, covering two main learning areas; Literacy and/or Numeracy:

- Targeted Intervention

- Holiday Intensives or Boosters
- Within each service, we personalise and customise a program to meet your child’s needs.

Cameraygal School of Performing Arts
An initiative of the Lane Cove Theatre Company and started in 2016, Cameraygal School of Performing Arts provides weekly theatre after-school tuition for primary and high school aged children.

We Are thrilled to be an official studio to partner with’ The Wiggles!’ This exclusive educational, energetic and exciting program has been written with music and comes with video links from The Wiggles!
The wiggles, Beautiful Ballet is a pre introduction to any Ballet Syllabus and a loveable dance program that aims to provide a guiding education to little ones from 18 months – 5 years of age. Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists are professionally trained to assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of developmental differences and ultimately aim to help individuals in their daily activities, relationships and communication skills.
Sydney Speech Clinic offers Individualised 1:1 Therapy and Group Programs in order to support clients in working towards their goals. Activities are held at local bushland parks or reserves:
- Blackman Park
- Tambourine Bay Park
- Stringybark Reserve
- Gore Creek Reserve
On each activity there is a bush walk on unsealed tracks, craft activity and storytelling.
Activity duration is from 1 to 1.5 hours.
Activities are designed for both children and adult participation.
The program encourages participants to connect with the natural world around us.
