It’s never too early to get those letters to Santa ready (and for mum and dad to take a photo of the letter in case the letter gets “lost” in the mail).
According to Australia Post, sacks of letters have already started arriving at the North Pole from eager kids and they say there are some key dates to ensure everyone gets a response before Santa and his elves get busy loading the sleigh for Christmas Eve.
How Does It Work?
Australia Post has changed the way that they are dealing with Santa Mail this year.
Here is what you need to do:
Now, you can hand deliver your letter in-store at your local Australia Post Office. There’s no need to worry about stamps or a return address.
Simply bring your letter to your local Post Office before 24 December. Pick up a special gift and Santa’s reply on the spot. While stocks last!
This will be available at both Lane Cove Post Office and Greenwich Post Office (both of them open on Saturday mornings).
How to Write the Letter
You can write your letter to Santa however you’d like. Remember to add some seasonal sparkle! But if you’re feeling a bit stuck, here are some tips.
- You can write a letter, wishlist or drawing. Every message is special to Santa.
- Use your favourite pens, pencils, textas, paper or stickers.

- This year, you don’t need to worry about Santa’s exact address – just hand it to one our friendly team at the counter in-store at your local Australia Post Office. Santa’s secret helper Pip will make sure your letter reaches Santa!
