De Rerum Natura: On the Matter of Things

Artist: Marisabel Gonzalez
28 May – 21 June 2025

Drawing inspiration from the ancient Roman text De Rerum Natura (On the Nature of Things) by Lucretius, Marisabel Gonzalez explores the intersection of medicine, art, and the natural world.

Her works use layered techniques—acrylic, spray paint, pastels, and oil pigments—to transform medical imaging into dreamlike landscapes that echo the structures of both human anatomy and the wider environment. The exhibition suggests that supernatural phenomena may simply be natural processes we don’t yet understand.

Visions of Place

Artists: Phillip Cox and David Holm
28 May – 21 June 2025

This joint exhibition by Phillip Cox and David Holm reflects on the enduring presence of landscape in Australian art and identity. As cities expand and lives grow more urbanised, the call of the natural world remains powerful and pervasive.

Both artists bring a deeply personal lens to the interpretation of place. Their works explore the ways in which the Australian landscape continues to influence memory, imagination, and connection.
