Thursdays, we invite absolutely everybody from the community for a short game called Rapid Fire Thursdays. And it’s just a bit of fun for people that haven’t bowled before,” Lane Cove Bowling Club Bowls Secretary Simon Kinsman told ITC.

“Bowls are the main thing our clubhouse does, but we do many things like Scrabble or the meat raffles on a Friday night… It’s kind of old school, and people love it.”

The club ensures it has something on for the community everyday of the week. Wednesday and Saturdays are social bowls, Thursday nights you can test your vocabulary with Scrabble tournaments and Fridays there’s the meat raffle, but there are also vouchers to be won for Two Brothers Cafe, Zapparelli’s and Sushi Train – food you’re welcome to bring to the club to enjoy.
