Welcome to our Lane Cove Week in Review, for 18 to 24 July 2016.
Traffic, Parking and Footpath Woes
Complaints continued this week regarding traffic delays on Centennial Avenue. The apparent two faulty light detectors on Penrose and Figtree Streets appeared not to have been fixed as expected. Several people took the matter further by calling to report the issue – phoning the Transport Management Centre on 131700 “report a traffic condition problem”. Press 3.
A Roving Reporter sent us this photo of the footpath on one section of Mowbray Road. They said “Mowbray Road is turning into a bomb site with all this construction and putrid excuses for footpaths”.
Another Roving Reporter sent us a photo of a Saturday morning traffic jam on Finlayson Street. They said “Rules that allow parking on both sides of Finlayson Street is causing must frustration with drivers. See pic attached for a gridlock this morning.” Do you think it parking should be restricted to one side only?
And another Roving Reporter sent us in this photo taken in the Woolies Car Park, showing how poorly one of the local rangers parks…

Stop Press
Excitement is building ITC, about the red hot rumour that a Deli/Fromagerie/Wine Bar is going to open in the plaza, in the shop recently vacated by Bumble B’s/Dinner with the Cakeman.
Another rumoured change on the plaza is that Pablo & Rusty’s will soon be changing names to “The Junction”. They will still serve P&R coffee and a similar menu.
