Lane Cove Festival @ Sydney Fringe – Open Access Info Session

In 2025, Lane Cove Council partnered with Sydney Fringe Festival for the first time, bringing a vibrant program of Fringe shows to the Lane Cove LGA. Artists who participated were selected through Sydney Fringe’s open access process and presented work across two of our key cultural spaces: Pottery Lane Performance Space (135-seat capacity) and The Canopy Stage (800-seat capacity).

For 2026, Lane Cove Council will once again be hosting Lane Cove Festival @ Sydney Fringe and is expanding opportunities for artists to present work locally.

Join us for an information session designed to help local artists and creatives understand how to participate in the Lane Cove program as part of Sydney Fringe 2026. We’ll explain how the open access process works, how artists can connect with Lane Cove venues, and what kinds of works may suit our spaces.

Applications for Sydney Fringe’s Open Access program are currently open until 30 March, so this session is a great opportunity to learn what’s involved and ask questions before submitting: For Artists & Producers | Sydney Fringe

The session will feature:
• A guest speaker who presented work in Lane Cove during the 2025 Sydney Fringe Festival, sharing insights from their experience
• Guidance on how the open access process works and what you need to have prepared for your application
• Information about our 2026 presentation spaces, including the addition of Gallery Lane Cove, which can host spoken word, comedy, and small-scale workshops
• Resources and advice available from Sydney Fringe to support artists through the application process

Whether you’re a performer, producer, writer, or creative practitioner, this session will help you understand how to take part in one of Sydney’s most exciting arts festivals – right here in Lane Cove.
