At the Podium: The Industrial Revolution and Australia

The Lane Cove Historical Society’s monthly speaker series At the Podium returns to Lane Cove Library on Tuesday 23 June.

Chris Schofield will give an illustrated presentation on the Industrial Revolution, 1760-1840. He will cover the technological, social and political changes that took place during and after the event that changed the world. It will be a personal reflection incorporating a number of observations.

Chris is a former President of Hunters Hill Historical Society. He is a retired broadcast journalist, who has worked for mainstream media organisations both in Australia and in the UK.
