The specials are the latest chapter in a busy year for Lusso Kitchen. What began at The Diddy has grown into one of the Lower North Shore’s most recognisable club dining groups, and for Lane Cove locals it is satisfying to watch a business that started right here continue to grow.

It is the perfect venue for group bookings! And if you are a local, you will unlikely visit the Diddy without bumping into someone you know!

Why locals call it The Diddy

Here is a piece of local trivia worth knowing. The Diddy is officially the Longueville Sporting Club, founded in 1938 and a cornerstone of the community for more than 85 years. In its early days, it was a daily haven for devoted bowlers whose attendance was close to religious. When a regular failed to show, the question would go around the green.

“Where is so and so? Did he die, did he?”

That cheeky line stuck, and the club has been known affectionately as The Diddy ever since. The former bowling club still has its greens, with barefoot bowls, live music on weekends and an easy, welcoming feel that has kept locals coming back for generations.

The team behind the kitchen

Lusso Kitchen has been operating out of The Diddy for several years, bringing Italian and Thai flavours to a menu built around Australian pub classics. The team behind it is the Lusso Group, a family hospitality business with well over a decade of experience and roots in its established restaurants, Lusso Italian and Lusso Tapas. From that Lane Cove bistro, the group has grown steadily across the Lower North Shore.

From The Diddy to a group across the Shore

In May, Lusso opened at Club Bradley Mosman, formerly Warringah Bowling Club, bringing a new menu to the Mosman community alongside barefoot bowls, pickleball and flexible event spaces.

Next on the list is Northbridge Golf Club, confirmed as Lusso’s fifth Lower North Shore venue. The waterfront site is being prepared with a refreshed kitchen and dining area, a new pizza oven and an outdoor kitchen on the deck, with opening details to follow.

Closest to home, Lusso has also been appointed dining operator for the new Galuwa Recreation Centre in Lane Cove, with Galuwa Dining expected to open in Spring 2026. Directors Malek Aani and Nabil Bisher describe it as a space with its own identity, designed by an award-winning architect, with room for up to 300 seated and 500 standing guests. It sits inside Lane Cove Council’s $82 million recreation centre, and for a group that began at The Diddy it is a genuine full-circle moment.

Where to find Lusso Kitchen

But first, the specials. From Tuesday 30 June 2026, settle in for steak on Tuesday, fish and chips on Wednesday, or a warming Thai red curry on Thursday, each just $20. It is the easiest midweek win going. You will find The Diddy at 243 Longueville Road, Longueville.
