Gaming, Gambling and Growing Up: 2026 Parent Webinar

Lane Cove Council is hosting a free online webinar for parents on Tuesday 4 August, looking at how gaming and gambling increasingly overlap for young people and what families can do about it.

The 90-minute session covers how gaming platforms blur the line between play and gambling through loot boxes and in-game purchases, how social media and influencers normalise betting, and the warning signs parents should look out for. There will also be practical guidance on parental control tools and conversation starters for use at home.

The webinar is free and open to all Lane Cove parents and carers, with registration through Eventbrite.
