Military History Talk: Australian WWII War Crimes Trials

Lane Cove Library hosts a military history talk on Tuesday 11 August, looking at the war crimes trials Australia conducted after the Second World War. Around 23,000 Australians were held as prisoners of war during the conflict, with about 8,000 dying in captivity.

Lieutenant Colonel Naida Isenberg AALC will discuss the trials held at the war’s conclusion, in which some of those responsible for the treatment of Australian prisoners were brought to account.
