Lane Cove Girl Guides are holding a bake sale in Lane Cove Plaza on Sunday 9 August, raising funds for Taronga Conservation Society Australia’s work protecting the critically endangered regent honeyeater. An estimated 250 to 300 of the birds remain in the wild.
Drop by for baked treats, get your face painted or try your luck guessing the contents of the lolly jar. All proceeds go directly to conservation efforts for the species.
The stall runs from 8am to 2pm, or until sold out. Those unable to attend in person can donate directly through the Girl Guides’ fundraising page.
