The Man – JB Theatre Co

Tax makes Ben anxious. As a sole trader, he has hoarded every receipt from the year and now has to go through them all, with the audience’s help. In this darkly funny one-man show, every receipt tells a story, and every audience member gets one too. People are called on at random to hand over their receipt, and the performer delivers the matching monologue, so no two nights unfold the same way.
Jo Bradley (SNOWFLAKE, GIA OPHELIA) directs the Australian premiere, by Olivier-Award winning playwright James Graham (DEAR ENGLAND, INK, QUIZ), produced by JB Theatre Co, for a limited Australian premiere season in Lane Cove’s Pottery Lane Performance Space.
The show is part of Lane Cove Festival in partnership with Sydney Fringe, and runs for four nights only. Rated M15+, with coarse language and audience interaction, including some physical contact.
