Two in three car seats are not used properly, so Lane Cove Council is running a free child car seat safety check on Saturday 5 September, 9am to 1pm. A Transport for NSW authorised restraint fitter will check, adjust or install car and booster seats to make sure they’re fitted correctly.
Fitters can also advise when a seat needs adjusting, turning from rear to front facing, or replacing altogether. Replacement parts can be bought on site at your own cost, and old seats no longer in use can be donated for recycling or reuse.
