Bus industrial action could delay Lane Cove services from Wednesday

State & Federal News news brief

Buses in Lane Cove and across the Lower North Shore could run late or be cancelled from Wednesday 4 November as drivers begin industrial action.

Lane Cove, Willoughby, North Sydney and Ryde all sit inside the affected Busways area on Transport for NSW’s disruption map. Rail, Tram and Bus Union members will restrict the use of some buses from Wednesday. Further work bans on buses leaving depots start on Thursday 5 November and there’s no end date.

Buses are still expected to run and school services will be prioritised. HSC and IB students sitting exams this week should leave extra time. Trains, ferries and roads may also be busier than usual.
