Xanadu JR by Lane Cove Theatre Company

Roller skates, leg warmers and a Greek muse with a mission. Lane Cove Theatre Company is staging Xanadu JR at The Pottery Lane Performance Space from Friday 13 November to Sunday 29 November, with opening night at 7:30pm.

Based on the 1980 Olivia Newton-John film and the Broadway musical that followed, the story sends a muse named Kira to Venice Beach to inspire a struggling artist to open the world’s first roller disco. Her jealous sisters have other plans. Trent Gardiner directs, with a book by Douglas Carter Beane and music and lyrics by Jeff Lynne and John Farrar.
