Heritage Tour of the Coal Loader
Discover the industrial past of one of the harbour’s most interesting sites on a free Heritage Tour of the Coal Loader in Waverton, with the next tour on Saturday 7 November from 10:30am to 12:00pm.
Volunteer guides lead the walk through the former coal loading facility, now North Sydney Council’s Centre for Sustainability. The highlight is a visit inside the heritage-listed Tunnel One, which is otherwise closed to the public. The tour is fully accessible and suits ages 12 and up.
Tours run on the first and third Saturday of each month, with further dates on 21 November, 5 December and 19 December. Meet outside the Genia McCaffery Centre (The Cottage). Tours are free. Bookings through Humanitix are preferred but walk-ins are welcome.
