Brewer Swimming is a family run swim school that has been teaching Lower North Shore children to swim since the mid 1980s. Lessons run during school terms at the Gartlan Centre, a 25 metre heated indoor pool at St Ignatius College Riverview, on Friday afternoons and Sunday mornings. Programs cover water familiarisation through to learn to swim, stroke correction and junior and senior squad training. Classes are deliberately small so instructors can track each swimmer closely, and all staff hold AUSTSWIM or ASCTA qualifications. Proprietors Graeme and Narelle Brewer bring an Olympic and Commonwealth Games medal and a preschool directing background between them.
Opening hours: Term time only. Friday 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm, Sunday 8.30 am to 11.30 am
