The Australian Thong Championship 2026 is landing at Depot Brewery for a massive Australia Day celebration filled with cold beers, big laughs and over $10,000 in prizes.

🕐 Event Time: 3.00pm ’til late with Competitor Sign In 2.00pm-3.00pm (AEDT)
🎟 Ticket Inclusions:
• 1 ticket = entry into the competition

🩴 The Game:
A light-hearted, crowd-favourite game of accuracy, where competitors go head-to-head attempting to land 5 competition thongs into the target and beat out the rest of the field. No strength required — just precision, focus and a steady flick.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

By purchasing a ticket, registering to compete, attending as a spectator, or otherwise participating in the Australian Thong Championship 2026 (“Event”), all persons agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. EVENT DETAILS

1. Event: Australian Thong Championship 2026
2. Venue: Depot Brewery, Artarmon NSW
3. Date: Australia Day – 26 January 2026
4. Event Commences: 3:00pm AEDT
5. Competitor Sign-In: From 2:00pm to 3:00pm AEDT
6. Promoter: Buckle Depot Pty Ltd (“Depot Brewery”, “we”, “us”)

2. ELIGIBILITY

1. The Event is open to persons of all ages.
2. Valid photo ID may be required for entry, competition participation, and prize redemption.

3. TICKETS & INCLUSIONS

1. Each ticket includes:
2. Entry into the Australian Thong Championship competition; and
3. One (1) pizza from the Signature Pizza Menu.
4. Pizza is:
5. Redeemable on the event day only;
6. Not redeemable for cash or substitutions;
7. Limited to one pizza per ticket.
8. Tickets are non-refundable except as required by law.

4. SPECTATORS & ATTENDEES

1. Spectators are welcome to attend the Event without competing.
2. All spectators must:
3. Remain within designated viewing areas;
4. Follow staff instructions at all times;
5. Not interfere with competitors, officials, equipment, or the competition area.
6. Any spectator behaviour deemed unsafe, disruptive, intoxicated, or interfering may result in removal from the venue without refund.
7. Spectators enter and attend the Event at their own risk, subject to applicable law.

5. COMPETITION FORMAT & RULES

1. Competitors take turns throwing venue-issued competition thongs only.
2. The player chosen to throw first will be decided by Management using a Tasting Paddle Flip process.
3. A selection of thongs will be provided. Personal footwear may not be used.
4. The target is an open wheelie bin.
5. To score, the thong must come to rest in the bottom of the bin without assistance.
6. All throws must be taken from behind the designated throw line.
7. No part of the foot may cross or touch the line during a throw.
8. Each competitor is guaranteed five (5) throws per match.
9. Matches are decided on a best-of-five basis.
10. If scores are tied after five throws each, the match proceeds to sudden death, with competitors alternating throws (throws 6, 7, 8, etc.) until one competitor scores and the other does not.
11. Each competitor has a maximum of 30 seconds per throw.
12. Unsafe behaviour, interference, or failure to follow instructions may result in immediate disqualification.

6. MANAGEMENT DISCRETION & FINAL DECISIONS

1. Depot Brewery management and appointed hosts reserve the full right to make alternate decisions regarding:
2. competition rules or format,
3. judging or scoring,
4. competitor eligibility,
5. safety and operational matters,
6. prize allocation or substitution where required.
7. All management and host decisions are final and binding, and are made at Depot Brewery’s sole discretion.
8. There is no right of appeal in relation to any decision made during or in connection with the Event.

7. PRIZES

• Redeemable on-premises only
• $2,500 Depot Function Voucher, valid for 365 days
• Total Prize Value: $5,785

• One (1) schooner per day for 365 days
• Core range beer or soft drink only
• Non-accumulative
• Redeemable on-premises only
• $1,000 Depot Function Voucher, valid for 365 days

🥉 EQUAL THIRD PLACE (2 PLAYERS)

• $500 Depot Function Voucher each, valid for 365 days
• Total Third-Place Prizes: $1,000
• Total Prize Pool: Over $10,000 (total value $10,340)

8. PRIZE CONDITIONS

1. All drink prizes:
2. Limited to one (1) standard drink per day;
3. Non-accumulative and non-transferable;
4. Subject to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA);
5. May be refused at any time at management’s discretion.
6. Function vouchers:
7. Redeemable at Depot Brewery only;
8. Subject to availability and standard function terms;
9. Not redeemable for cash or transfer;
10. Must be used within 365 days of issue.

9. RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL

1. RSA laws apply at all times.
2. Depot Brewery reserves the right to refuse service of alcohol to any person.
3. Winning or holding a prize does not override RSA obligations.

10. SAFETY & LIABILITY

1. All attendees and competitors participate at their own risk, to the extent permitted by law.
2. Depot Brewery accepts no responsibility for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation or attendance, except where liability cannot be excluded under Australian law.

11. WEATHER & EVENT CHANGES

1. The Event will proceed rain or shine unless deemed unsafe.
2. Depot Brewery may amend, suspend, relocate, or cancel the Event or any component of it due to weather, safety, or operational requirements.

12. MEDIA & PROMOTION

1. By attending or participating, all persons consent to being photographed or filmed.
2. Depot Brewery may use images or footage for promotional and marketing purposes without compensation.

13. GENERAL

1. Competition places are limited and allocated on a first in, best dressed basis.
2. Depot Brewery reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
3. Participation or attendance constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
4. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits rights under Australian Consumer Law.
